A diagnosis of tubular colonic duplication was made via contrast radiograph
y and colonoscopy in a six-month-old, intact female Boston terrier. Clinica
l signs of increased frequency of defecation, tenesmus, and constipation, w
hich had been present since birth, resolved following surgical correction o
f the duplication. The literature addressing diagnosis and treatment of tub
ular colonic duplication in dogs is reviewed.
