Abstract
The serial production of components made from fibre-reinforced plastics by the tape placement process has so far been prevented by a failure to solve the problem of the first layer. For this reason, IVW has developed a proces s that both permits the first laminate layer to be applied onto the mould a nd also allows the finished component to be removed without damage.
