Global existence and regularity results are provided for weakly coupled fir
st order hyperbolic systems modeling the propagation of the Feline Leukemia
Virus (FeLV), a retrovirus of domestic cats (Felis catus). In a simple exa
mple we find a threshold parameter yielding endemic stationary states. (C)
