Solidification and melting of dilute He-3-He-4 mixtures (0.7%-4.0% He-
3) at 0.45K - 1.2K are investigated, utilizing a 10 MHz NMR imaging sy
stem. The spatial distribution of He-3, T1 and T2 relaxation times was
mapped along the vertical direction of the experimental cell, perpend
icular to the liquid - solid interface. We find that relaxation on the
melting curve is considerably faster than at higher densities.
