Abstract
The energy loss of 21.8 and 1.0 MeV Nq+ ions scattered from a Pt(1 1 0) sin
gle crystal surface at grazing incidence is measured. Comparison of the exp
erimental data with a modified Bohr-Bethe theory shows good agreement. (C)
