Abstract
We measured angular distributions in grazing scattering of 10 keV He-0-atom s incident along the [1 0 0] direction of an Fe(0 0 1) surface. Depending o n the incidence angle different types of multimodal distributions are obser ved. Classical molecular dynamics computer simulations relate the angular c haracteristics to rainbow singularities and focusing effects. (C) 2000 Else vier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
