Abstract
The number of light neutrino families can be determined at LEP1, either ind irectly through the line shape method, or directly through the radiative pr ocess e(+)e(-) --> nu<(nu)over bar>gamma. We discussed the results obtained , in both cases by the four LEP experiments, using the data collected near the Z resonance.
