Abstract
By [2+2] cyclization and elimination of an alcohol moiety, the diallen yldiethers, prepared through allenylation reaction of acetals with 1,8 -bis(trimethylsilyl)-2,6-octadiyne, lead by heating to 1,4-disubstitut ed benzocyclobutenes, in good yields.
