Yh. Kim et al., First-order interference of nonclassical light emitted spontaneously at different times - art. no. 051803, PHYS REV A, 6105(5), 2000, pp. 1803
We study the first-order interference in spontaneous parametric down-conver
sion generated by two pump pulses that are well distinguishable in time. Th
e observed modulation in the angular distribution of the signal photon can
only be explained in terms of a quantum-mechanical description based on bip
hoton states. The condition for observing interference in the signal channe
l is shown to depend on the parameters of the idler photon.
