Abstract
We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally that spatiotemporal soliton s can be generated through noncollinear second-harmonic generation. The res ulting Y geometry could be used to implement an optical AND gate with ultra fast, high-contrast operation but without sensitivity to the phases of the input pulses.
