Abstract
A xanthone, montrouxanthone and a dihydroisocoumarin, montroumarin were iso lated From the stem balk of Montrouziera sphaeroidea Pancher Ex Planchon et Triana [Guttiferae], along with two known compounds. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses. This is the first repor t of the analysis of chemical constituents of Montrouziera species. (C) 200 0 Elsevier Science Ltd.
