Abstract
Gas-phase reactions of 1-chloroadamantane and adamantane with germanium tet rachloride in the presence of hexachlorodisilane as initiator were studied. It was found that trichlorogermyladamantane is formed only in the reaction with 1-chloroadamantane, together with ethyl-, propyl-, and butyltrichloro germanes as by-products.
