Abstract
1,3-dimethy1 and 1,3-diallyl 5-(omega-bromoalkyl) isocyanurates were reacte d with thiourea to obtain the corresponding isothiuronium bromides. Hydroly sis of the salts gave the corresponding 1,3-disubstituted 5-(omega-mercapto alkyl) isocyanurates. 1,3-Diallyl 5-(omega-mercaptoalkyl) isocyanurates und ergo intermolecular addition of the mercapto groups to the allyl double bon ds to yield polymers insoluble in organic solvents.
