The proton spin-lattice relaxation times and H-1 NMR second moments were me
asured over a wide range of temperature. The results were compared with tho
se of the F-19 NMR relaxation that we obtained earlier. For both nuclear sp
ecies, the evolution of the longitudinal magnetizations with time is observ
ed to be strongly bi-exponential and were in good quantitative agreement wi
th the cross-relaxation theory. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights r
