Abstract
2-Aminoethylimines and 3-aminopropylimines of aldoses have been synthe sized and their structure in solutions has been investigated by C-13 N MR spectroscopy. 2-Aminoethylimines usually exist as pyranoses, 3-amin opropylimines are the corresponding piperimidines while ring-ring inte rconversion between pyranose and piperimidine tautomers takes place in some cases.
