The adsorption energy of both He-4 and He-3 to the surface of liquid H
-2 and of liquid D2 has been measured. The dependence of the surface e
nergy of liquid hydrogen upon the density of helium gas above the liqu
id has been used to determine the binding of helium atoms to the liqui
d surface. The results for the different isotopes are consistent with
each other and with theoretical predictions.
