This paper presents an Asymptotic Numerical Method (A.N.M.) to simulate a 3
D hemispherical deep-drawing of a circular sheet. An elastoplastic model ba
sed on the plasticity deformation theory is adopted. The problem discretisa
tion is performed by a shell finite element well adapted for problems invol
ving large displacements and large rotations. A comparison with results obt
ained by the help of the industrial code Abaqus evaluates the performance a
nd the interest of the method.
