Abstract
The focus of this study was to determine the accuracy of predicting peak ox ygen uptake from cycle ergometer workloads, with particular interest in eld erly patients with heart failure, The GETP6 cycle ergometer equation provid es reasonable estimates of peak oxygen uptake from peak exercise test work levels in elderly heart failure patients with either systolic or diastolic dysfunction.
