Abstract
The feasibility of Co-Pt/gamma-Al2O3 catalytic membrane reactors for cinnam aldehyde hydrogenation has been explored. The results of hydrogenation in f our membrane reactors with different configurations indicate that the effec t of the gas transport limitation is more important than the liquid diffusi on limitation. The membrane with the catalytic layer situated on the gas si de shows the highest activity due to the minimized gas transport limitation .
