In this work we have been interested in the problem of predicting thermodyn
amic properties of binary systems in a wide range of temperature or pressur
e. Towards this end, we have estimated the parameters of the models conside
red in a previous paper by using both vapor-liquid equilibrium data and mix
ing enthalpies determined at low temperatures (usually at 298.15 K). The ob
tained results show that at moderates temperatures, the representation of t
he vapor-liquid equilibria and mixing enthalpies is comparable to that obta
ined with the parameters estimated over the whole set of data used in the f
irst part of this work. At high temperature, the calculation of the vapor-l
iquid equilibria is very satisfactory. The interest of this method remains,
of course, in the limited quantity of data which we can dispose (i.e., the
rmodynamic properties at a single temperature), but also in the method of p
arameter estimation that ensure the thermodynamic consistency of the models
.
