Abstract
Given a homogeneous ideal I subset of k[x(0),.,., x(n)] (k an infinite fiel d) and supposing that I is generated by forms of the same degree, we prove a formula to compute the minimal number sigma(I) of the scheme-theoretic ge nerations of I.
