Abstract
A numerical renormalization group approach to the solution of self-con sistent-field equations for correlated lattice electrons is illustrate d for the two-dimensional Hubbard model. This approach leads to reduct ions in calculational time and storage of several orders of magnitude at temperature scales relevant to electronic phase transitions.
