Abstract
The K-band fade statistics in Tokyo were measured using an antenna (beamwid th of 19.5 degrees in elevation and 6.5 degrees in azimuth) at elevations r anging from 37 to 80 degrees. The results show that line-of-sight communica tion is possible only similar to 33% of the distance at elevations < 50 deg rees, but it is 98% at 80 degrees.
