Abstract
The authors report an integrated optical polarisation analyser fabricated i n a silica waveguide on silicon, which consists of a waveguide-type polaris ation beam splitter and an integrated optic 120 degrees hybrid. This is a c ompact and stable polarisation analyser that does not use any bulk optic co mponents. Polarisation measurement was performed successfully with the fabr icated analyser.
