Abstract
The nonfactorizable atomic wavefunctions prepared by the process of laser c ooling based on velocity-selective coherent population trapping are analyze d. The entanglement of the atomic wavefunction is presented and discussed. The decoherence processes modifying the atomic entanglement are examined.
