Abstract
A change in electric conductivity of the polyepoxypropylcarbazole-CBr4 poly mer composition applied onto a vapor-deposited aluminum layer was considere d. Under exposure to UV radiation, a photochemical reaction resulting in th e dissolution of aluminum and the formation of organometal complexes in the bulk of the polymer composition takes place. It was found that the aluminu m dissolution was inhibited by a positive charge induced on the polymer sur face by a corona discharge.
