Abstract
Densities and ultrasonic velocities have been measured for pure bromobenzen e and n-alkanols (C-1-C-4) and in their binary mixtures at about nine compo sitions at 298.15,303.15 and 308.15 K. The isentropic compressibility (Delt a K-s), intermolecular free length (L-f), deviation in isentropic compressi bility(Delta Ks) and excess intermolecular free length(L (E)(f)) have been calculated and interpreted in terms of intramolecular and intermolecular in teractions. The effect of composition, temperature and chain length of alka nols on intra and intermolecular interactions has been discussed.
