Abstract
Six cis coordinated H2O molecules of the triangular cluster complexes M-3(m u(3)-S)((mu(2)-S)(3)(H2O)(9)](4+) Mo, W) (hydrogen bond donors) complementa ry to six portal oxygen atoms of cucurbituril (acceptors). The shape and sy mmetry of the building blocks induce specific crystal structures.
