From December 1990 tropospheric ozone concentrations have been measure
d at Taliarte station (Gran Canaria, Canary Islands). Taliarte's measu
rements are of great interest because of its proximity to Izana BAPMoN
observatory (Tenerife, Canary Islands) and its relative distance to h
igh-pollution regions. A comparative study with other North-Atlantic s
tations has been carried out. In order to compare possible analogies a
nd differences, a comparative study has been carried out. Studies invo
lve seasonal cycle, diurnal oscillation and long-range transport. Ozon
e concentrations at Taliarte show high sensitivity to transport from h
igher latitudes. For diurnal variations, two different patterns have b
een found: ''trade winds'' and ''marine breeze'' situations.
