Abstract
BatchMan for Windows is a graphical user interface (GUI) operating with two quantum calculation programs (MOPAC V6 and GAMESS) and a file format conve rsion utility (Babel). This program was developed for a Windows (9x and NT) environment, it has two objectives: 1) to allow use of sufficiently powerful personal computers to carry out ce rtain calculations and reduce: the calculation workload on specialized work stations. 2) provide a free and user friendly tool for introductory quantum calculati on courses. The application BatchMan allows to share calculation tasks over a PCs netwo rk. This feature reduces the computing time required when quantum calculati ons are performed on a large number of structures (for example, the generat ed structures from a conformational analysis). This is the only interface ( commercial or private) available for Windows with such characteristics. Bat chMan can be downloaded free of charge from our Web server.
