Abstract
Strains of Salmonella enteritidis of avian origin, isolated from Bangalore and Pune in India. were analysed by Arbitrarily Primed PCR (AP-PCR), which generated eight different patterns and enabled the discrimination among the m. It was concluded that the technique could be of use in the epidemiologic al studies of S. enteritidis strains.
