Abstract
Phase decomposition in Al-Ag single crystals under slow tensile deformation has been examined by means of in-situ synchrotron-radiation small-angle sc attering. Al-1.5at%Ag single crystals were deformed at various aging temper atures, where time-resolved 2-dimensional small-angle scattering measuremen ts were performed. In spite of a very small rate of about 10(-5)/s, the gro wth rate of Guinier-Preston zones were reduced by deformation process. Duri ng the process, no clear anisotropy of the zones related to the shear defor mation was found.
