Abstract
Although Fe and Mn promote sulfated zirconia for n-pentane isomerization, t hey do not promote tungstated zirconia. Raman spectra demonstrate the forma tion of manganese tungstate land possibly iron tungstate), which likely hin der(s) the formation of highly dispersed oxidic promoters such as those in iron- and manganese-promoted sulfated zirconia.
