Abstract
Two novel taxoids, taxmairols N (1) and O (2), have been isolated from extr
acts of the roots of Taxus mairei. The structures of 1 and 2 were identifie
d as 7 beta,9 alpha,10 beta,13 alpha-tetraacetoxy-2 alpha,4 alpha,5 alpha,-
20-tetrahy- droxytax-11-ene and 7 beta,9 alpha,10 beta,13 alpha-tetraacetox
y-1 beta,2 alpha,4 alpha,5 alpha,20-pentahydroxytax-11-ene on the basis of
1D and 2D NMR techniques including COSY, HMQC, HMBC, and NOSEY experiments.
