Abstract
Experimental results are reported for the (e, 2e) differential ionization c ross section of neon at an incident electron energy 20 eV above the ionizat ion potential. The measurements have been carried out from the coplanar to the perpendicular plane geometry, the electrons being detected at equal sca ttering angles in the detection plane and with equal energies. The differen tial cross section displays trends that are very different from those seen for helium.
