Abstract
The alpha-sarcin domain of large rRNA participates in elongation of the pol ypeptide chain in all kingdoms. We present the primary sequence of this dom ain from plant material (lupine) and suggest a tertiary structure. We indic ate significant differences between the plant and animal systems in stem st ructure of this domain.
