Abstract
Heat capacity measurements of Haldane-gap antiferromagnetic NENP are p erformed. An anomalous broad peak was observed below 1K besides Schott ky anomaly corresponding to Haldane-gap. This broad peak exists under zero magnetic field and disappears under external magnetic field of 3T . We have also measured the heat capacities of both Cu-doped and Zn-do ped samples, because impurity and end-chain spins may be responsible f or the observed anomaly as well as the possibility of long range order .
