Abstract
The cooperative question in haemoglobin is faced, and the use of an analogy to an electronic circuit is hypothesized. On this basis, the Hb-oxygen upt ake and release mechanism is discussed, and a new explanation of the,cooper ative effect is proposed. (C) 2000 Harcourt Publishers Ltd.
