Abstract
Data taken with the ALEPH detector at LEP II have been used to measure the photon structure function F-2 gamma The data were collected in 1997 at a ce ntre-of-mass energy of root s approximate to 183 GeV and analysed in the tw o Q(2) ranges from 7 to 24 and from 17 to 200 GeV2. To determine F-2(gamma) , a two-dimensional unfolding method employing the principle of maximum ent ropy is used, which reduces the errors compared to one-dimensional methods. The results are compared to the predictions of several theoretical models.
