Sa. Nemov et al., Observation of superconducting and structural phase transitions in Sn1-zGezTe : In solid solutions, PHYSICA C, 333(1-2), 2000, pp. 31-40
The SnTe-GeTe solid solutions doped with In belong to a new class of superc
onducting (SC) materials - semiconducting compounds with a resonant impurit
y states on the background of the valence band spectrum. We studied the SC
and structural phase transitions (SPT) in the (Sn1-zGez)(1-x)InxTe compound
s. Our experimental results include the data on the temperature dependencie
s of the lattice parameters, magnetization, Hall effect, and electrical res
istivity for (Sn0.8Ge0.2)(1-x)InxTe in the wide temperature range (0.4-400
K). The SPT from cubic to rhombohedral structure was determined by X-ray me
asurements. The dependence of SC parameters of (Sn1-zGez)(1-x)InxTe on Ge c
ontent (z = 0/0.4 with the step of z equal 0.05) were obtained for two Ln c
oncentrations (x = 0.05, 0.16). (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights r
