Y. Naidyuk et al., EVIDENCE FOR EMF IN A POINT-CONTACT BETWEEN 2 METALS CAUSED BY A DIFFERENCE IN THE EFFECTIVE ELECTRON MASS, Physica. B, Condensed matter, 194, 1994, pp. 1321-1322
The different effective masses of the electrons in the metals forming
a point contact (PC) could result in an asymmetry in the PC resistance
with respect to the applied voltage because of an EMF associated with
the current flow through a metallic constriction. The qualitative and
quantitative comparison with the experimental data for heterocontacts
based on single crystals of PrNi5 or CeNi5 supports the proposed mode
