Abstract
Effects of hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide on the activity of Pt/WO3-ZrO2 for cumene cracking and hydrogenation were studied to find the way for control ling the acidic function and metallic function of a solid acid supported me tal catalyst. Introduction of hydrogen sulfide suppressed only the hydrogen ation activity, but did not affect the cracking activity, indicating that h ydrogen sulfide suppresses the metallic function without changing the acidi c function.
