Two sets of about 40 hyperbolic equations for the temperature dependence of
the retention index of perfumery solutes were reported on Carbowax-20M gla
ss capillary columns having 0.45 mu m and 0.08 mu m film thickness. The fit
ting was compared with that of a linear equation. The hyperbola parameters
were discussed based on their physico-chemical significance.
