The available data on the heat capacity of solid indium arsenide in the tem
perature range of 1 K to the temperature of fusion (1221 K) were analyzed t
o select the most reliable values. The heat capacity data in the temperatur
e range 300-414 K were shown to require refinement. New measurements were p
erformed on a DSM-2M calorimeter to determine the heat capacity of indium a
rsenide at 350-540 K. The measurement results and the most reliable literat
ure data on the heat capacity of indium arsenide in the temperature range 2
00-1221 K were used to derive a new equation describing the temperature dep
endence of the heat capacity of solid InAs. The thermodynamic functions of
indium arsenide were calculated for 298-1221 K.
