Abstract
A mechanism of the rearrangement of 5-propargyloxyindoles is proposed and s upported by the formation of a novel tetracyclic indole derivative 12 as th e major product in the cyclization of 5-propargyloxytryptophol 10. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
