Abstract
Different types of pectinases, proteases, and lipases were used to treat co tton fibers and knitted fabrics. The effect of the enzymatic action was ana lyzed using HPLC and ESCA, and the technical properties of the treated fabr ics were determined. The impurities in the cotton could be removed by speci fic enzymes. The choice of the enzyme, however, had a great impact on the e nzyme effect.
