Abstract
A taxonomic review of the Cantabrian Leptodirinae has been carried out. The basis for this review is the study of certain important external morpholog ical characteristics, but in particularly, the examination of the male and female genitalia. As a result, we propose a new position in sections and th ree new taxonomic categories, Cantabrogeus nov, gen., Amphogeus nov, subgen ., and Samanolla nov. subgen., as well as the "new status" of Speonomidius.
