Abstract
A method for estimating the shape of accumulated radioactive spent res ins in a storage tank has been proposed using the sampled pattern matc hing, In a two-dimensional simulation model, several kinds of the resi n shapes are assumed, and the radiation fields outside the tank are ca lculated, The resin shapes were estimated using the simulated radiatio n field data and compared to the assumed shapes, resulting in reasonab le agreements between them.
