Abstract
Natural azasugars have the ring oxygen substituted by nitrogen. They show p otent inhibitory activity against glycosidases. The effect of substituting the ring carbon with nitrogen was examined with 1-azafagomine. 1-Azafagomin e exhibited similar activity against processing glucosidase to that of fago mine.
