Abstract
The crystal structure of the title compound C29H45BrO7(M-r = 585.56) is rep orted herein. The crystal is attributed to orthorhombic system and P2(1)2(1 )2(1) space group. The crystal lattice parameters are a = 9.748(4), b = 12. 537(5), c = 25.851 (9) Angstrom,V = 3159 (2) Angstrom(3), Z = 4, D-x = 1.23 1g/cm(3), mu = 1.341mm(-1), F (000) = 1240. The reflection factor [F-2 > 2 sigma (F-2)], R = 0.0415, R-w = 0.0609. The title compound contains 5 rings and 12 chiral centers. The two six-rings of menthyloxy are shown as chair conformation and the pentacyclic lactones are also shown as envelope form. They are fused with cyclopropane ring to form a spiro[2.4] ring and a fused [3. 1. 0] ring, respectively. The absolute configuration of this compound at the new stereogenic centers was established as C(13)(S), C(14)(S), C(15) (R), C(16)(R). There is no symmetric factor in the crystal structure.
